Miami FitWear recently opened in Pharr.
Miami FitWear is a new designer store that Raquel Ponce recently opened in Pharr. The company was founded in Miami in April 2015. The new clothing designs are now available in the Rio Grande Valley as part of an expansion of the brand.
Ana Duncan, one of the graphic and textile designers, says the new designs are part of a line of high quality and custom fabric clothing: “We are a conscious athletic hub that specializes in creating high quality leggings that are originally designed and hand drawn. All our clothing has been manufactured in our in-house facility in Texas with the highest quality imported fabric (82% Polyester / 18% Lycra). This will allow for flexibility, freshness and comfort. Eco-friendly techniques were implemented in the fabrication of our products.”
According to Duncan, they are very customer friendly and supervise the process from beginning to end. They incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design, personally research products, design the clothes digitally, shoot and edit pictures and also supervise the printing.
“All of our products are good, but in my opinion, our best products are the customized leggings that people ask us, personally, to create for them. Maybe it’s because I love merging their ideas with mine and working with them, thanks to their feedback and my imagination to create their dream leggings, and watching how happy the look once they finally get to try them on. Overall there are many benefits of buying with Miami FitWear. First of all, our fabric
have a non-slip waist band that will not rise up or down during any activity, and are made with a four-way stretch, premium, fabric that ensures proper muscle control and feels smooth to skin,” says Duncan. “We are passionate in protecting the environment. We believe that us, as humans, have the important responsibility of being good stewards of the gifts of nature. Because of that, we use water-based ink and recycled paper for all of our designs. Our manufacturing processes are non-toxic and everything is done in-house.”
